Meet The Team

Dr. Jayelle Haavaldsen, BSc, ND

Naturopathic doctor and clinic owner/founder

Dr. Haavaldsen is a huge science nerd with a profound and deep respect for nature and its healing capabilities. Her goal is to help you realize what your body can do when given the right tools and environment.

Dr. Haavaldsen welcomes patients of all ages in all bodies. She has a special interest in hormonal health, fatigue, and emotional wellness. She also loves supporting athletes with their goals. She sees that health is not just a result of behaviors but also feeling connected and purposeful in your life. Her mission is to create a space for you to feel heard, help you understand what is going on in your health and create a plan to feel your best.

Growing up in the Edmonton area, the Rocky Mountains were like her second home. Dr. Haavaldsen moved to Hinton officially in January 2022 and hasn’t looked back. She loves being a part of this peaceful community and exploring the outdoors with her husband and young daughter.

She founded The Meadow Clinic in January 2025 and when she isn’t with patients, she is hustling behind the scenes to keep things running smoothly!

Dr. Dawson Sultana, BSc, ND

Naturopathic Doctor

Dr. Sultana has a background in Environmental Sciences and came to naturopathic medicine because of his strong belief in the interconnection between the mind, body, spirit and nature. He hopes to guide and empower those who seek to become the best version of themselves.

Clinically, he is particularly passionate about men’s health and aging, brain, mood and sleep issues, pain and inflammation (and much more!).

Outside of the clinic he loves the outdoors (especially in the fall), being active and expressing himself through art and music.

Jessica Howard, BA, BSW, MACP, RSW

Registered Social Worker – MAT LEAVE UNTIL SEPTEMBER 2025

Jessica is originally from the Edson area. After traveling, living abroad, and relocating for university, she is happy to say that she has now settled back in the area. Her and her husband are now raising our children here, and the small-town life feels right for them.

Prior to obtaining her masters , she worked in the child intervention and foster/kinship care field for many years. Witnessing the transformative power that a good therapist can have led her to pursue her Master’s in Counselling Psychology. The idea of helping to facilitate healing and positive change was the type of service she wanted to provide for others.

Her areas of interest include working with women in different life stages, children and families. She finds herself drawn to cognitive behavioral therapy, EMDR, family systems, and play therapy, all while utilizing a person-centered approach. She believes that you are the expert in your life and her goal is to provide a safe place for you to better understand yourself and heal.

She has experience working with individuals who have experienced trauma, sexual abuse,  anxiety, depression, relationship struggles, and suicide/self harm.

In her (limited) spare time she enjoys spending time with her family, cooking elaborate meals, hiking, mountain biking, and gardening.

She looks forward to connecting with you!

Nikki Tiller, BA, BSW, MC, RSW

Registered Social Worker

Nikki is a compassionate and dedicated social worker committed to person-centered care and advocacy. With over a decade of experience, she has supported individuals—children, youth, and adults alike— through trauma, helping them navigate life’s challenges with dignity, resilience, and self-determination. Having recently completed her Master’s degree in Counselling, she is excited to apply both her training and experience in a meaningful way.

She believes in meeting people where they are—honouring their experiences, strengths, identities, and unique journeys—while ensuring they feel safe, both emotionally and psychologically. Healing requires trust, and she strives to create a space where individuals can explore their thoughts and emotions without fear of judgment. Whether someone is taking their first steps toward healing or working through deep-seated struggles, she offers a supportive and nonjudgmental environment where they feel seen, heard, and understood.

Nikki’s approach integrates trauma-informed care and evidence-based strategies to foster meaningful growth and self-empowerment. By walking alongside clients at their own pace, she aims to help them regain confidence, rebuild trust in themselves, and develop personalized paths toward well-being.

Healing is not one-size-fits-all, and her mission is to ensure each individual has the support they need in ways that truly resonate with them—while always prioritizing their sense of safety and comfort.
